STORY VISUALISATION – Master Class

MultiChoice Talent Factory, Uganda Communications Commission and MultiChoice Uganda invites experienced scriptwriters to a Master Class on “Story Visualisation”

Facilitated by: Professor Abraham Linus; He is a trained film director and documentary filmmaker and professor of film, visual communication, broadcast journalism, cultural studies, and new media. He holds a PhD in Communication -Annenberg School for Communication,
University of Pennsylvania, USA. Mass Communication and BA in Broadcasting Journalism University of Minnesota, USA.

He is a Former lecturer at Journalism & Mass Communication, Iowa State University and University of Minnesota, USA and University of Ghana. Served as Rector of the National Film &
Television Institute (NAFTI)- Ghana.

Professor Abraham has served as a Juror on a number of Film Awards and Festivals, such as the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) Uganda Film Festival and is currently the Chairman of the Ghana Foreign Language (Oscars) Committee – which supervises the selection of films from Ghana to be presented for competition in the Oscars. He served in the Ghana Film Bill committee that lead to the establishment of a National Film Authority.

He has a passion for Storytelling and Visual Aesthetics, a course that he facilitates at the MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy (MTF) in West Africa and East Africa.

The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) was established under the legal framework of the Uganda Communications Act No. 1 of 1997 and the Electronic Media Act of 1996. Consequently, UCC operates as an integrated regulatory body overseeing various sectors, including Telecommunications, Data Communications, Broadcasting, Postal Communication, Radio Communication, and Infrastructure services throughout Uganda. It is also tasked with the responsibility of licensing operations of cinematography theatres and video or film libraries in Uganda.
